Application: Logo and Guidelines for a University Department
The Career Center for Students at UMBC contacted my department for our creative services. One of the challenges with this design project was that it needed to align with the existing UMBC brand. Yet, the Career Center still wanted a strong identifying mark to help students identify this essential department on campus. My responsibility was to design a logo and wordmark along with a style guide for the department. The result was this simple but effective mark that used the UMBC color palette and typography paired with a strong icon that creates upward movement, which reflects the department's mission for finding applied settings for students to gain work experience.
